INTRODUCING REGIONAL TEAM RIDER

JACOB SIMMONS

My name's Jacob Simmons, I'm originally from Waco, Texas, but currently live in Dallas, and I've been wakeboarding for the last 12 years. When I was in college I got a groupon for a free 2 hour pass at BSR (now Waco Surf), and was immediately hooked. Within the next year I had joined the Baylor wake team and started operating at BSR as a college job, riding almost every day.

By the time I was 21, I had won a collegiate wakeboard national championship, and began competing at a professional level. After graduating from Baylor with a degree in film and digital media, I moved to Dallas and came on staff full time with WakeWell, a christian non-profit organization dedicated to sharing the love of God with the wakeboard culture and industry, as well as doing freelance photo and video work within the wakeboard industry.

Over the last few years I've called Hydrous Wakeparks my home, and you can find me at the Allen location or out in east Texas at the Levee most days during the summer. This year, I'll be riding the Liquid Force Virago LTD and Hook 4D bindings. I'm so stoked to be a part of the OneWake team and can't wait for this season to see what we can cook up!
